About Déjà Vu

Déjà Vu is a nine-member FTC team from Santa Clara High School. As a legacy team, Déjà Vu has been a team since 2017, and this year we are all rookies. We are excited to participate and carry on the Déjà Vu legacy!

BIOBUZZ presented by RTX is the 2026–27 FIRST Tech Challenge game, part of the FIRST CANOPY season. It’s themed around pollinators and the natural world.

How a match plays
  1. Collect

    Robots pick up POLLEN (3-inch plastic balls) and NECTAR from the field, including from piles and corners.

  2. Launch

    Alliances launch scoring elements into their HIVE.

  3. Place

    Elements go into FLOWERS and GARDENS. Having the top NECTAR on a FLOWER gives an alliance ownership of it.

  4. Finish

    Robots PARK in their loading zone before time runs out.

Purple and flower crowns have been part of Déjà Vu for years. The current team took over the original team’s parts and history, and adds to it each season.

What isFIRST?

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a non-profit that runs robotics programs for students.

The FIRST Tech Challenge is its program for middle and high school teams, who design, build and code robots to compete each season.
